Giovanna is a terrific host and her staff are also wonderful and very caring of their guests. The rooms are simple, elegant and all absolutely spotless. The delicious breakfast on the garden terrace was the perfect way to start the day - from the absolutely gorgeous homemade ricotta to accompany fresh fruit and honey, followed by savoury dish of cheeses, olives, tomatoes and herbed bread and ending with a different sweet dish each day. Divine and with lots of good strong coffee made as required. The pool area is beautiful and was a gorgeous respite from the heat of the day or at the end of a long day sightseeing. My favourite time was lying in one of the two hammocks watching the afternoon sunbathe the town of Ragusa in that beautiful golden glow. La Casa del Gelsomino is only a few minutes walk from the centre of the old town, so very close to restaurants, bars and Cathedral. Ragusa is lovely as was my stay at La Casa del Gelsomino. Die Zimmer sind zwar klein, aber sehr sauber. Uns wurde ein gr\u00f6\u00dferes Zimmer zur Auswahl gestellt, doch wir entschieden uns f\u00fcr das kleinere, das daf\u00fcr \u00fcber einen winzigen Balkon und eine atemberaubende Aussicht \u00fcber einen Teil der Altstadt und das Tal verf\u00fcgte. Trotz zweier gro\u00dfer Koffer kamen wir darin gut zurecht. Von der Ebene der Zimmer aus geht es dann \u00fcber Aussentreppen hinab zur Fr\u00fchst\u00fccksterrasse und dem Wohlf\u00fchlbereich. Sp\u00e4testens hier erliegt man dem Zauber von \u201eLa Casa del Gelsomino\u201c, denn die ganze Anlage ist wundersch\u00f6n gestaltet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der Yakuzi-Teich anstelle eines Pools ist sicherlich einzigartig! Dort l\u00e4sst es sich prima verweilen und abk\u00fchlen. Das Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck besticht durch lokale Spezialit\u00e4ten und die Besitzer geben sich viel M\u00fche, jeden Morgen eine andere Spezialit\u00e4t zu servieren. Ein Besuch von Haushund Chico sorgt zus\u00e4tzlich f\u00fcr ein nettes Hallo.
